Filming

There are special fees payable for those wishing to do professional ( for commercial purposes) filming.

A permit is required from the Ministry of Tourism – Department of Film Services, Tel: 254-020-313010.
A Film License form can be downloaded from their web sire: www.filmservices.go.ke/licencing

Their fees, in Kenya Shillings, are basically:

Documentaries / short films / adds and stills	KES 5,000
Full length films / reality shows (TV)	KES 15,000
Fee per day	KES 1,000

Agency Fee

Registration	KES 12,000
Annual renewal	KES 12,000

Fees for filming IN THE MARA TRIANGLE and OLOOLOLO GAME RANCH are:

1 to 5 people in the filming party	KES 15,000 per week
6 to 20 people in the filming party	KES 25,000 per week
Over 20 people in the filming party	Ksh 37,000 per week

These fees can be paid at the Earthview Office in Nairobi – cheque payable to Mara Conservancy
